Meet Your Trainer: Michelle Mah
Michelle Mah is the founder of Rebalance, and a qualified mindfulness, life skills and wellbeing trainer. She has studied and trained with the world’s most heavily researched secular mindfulness, EQ & wellness programmes —Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) under UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness, Mindful Schools, The Science of Well-Being at Yale, as well as the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), first developed at Google.
She comes from a background in marketing, communications, and events, having worked at leading, international organisations and was invited to judge the Mumbrella Asia Awards in 2017 & 2018.
Her passion and purpose started at the tender age of 18 assisting senior trainers in life skills programmes. Today, she coaches and facilitates trainings in a variety of settings such as schools, corporate and the general public. She is currently part of the Associate Faculty of Singapore Management University where she teaches courses on mindfulness. She is also a registered facilitator with the Ministry of Education.
A certified 300hr yoga instructor, Mindful Birth educator in prenatal, postnatal and active birthing yoga, Michelle frequently leads self-care & meditation retreats around Asia and is an advocate for mental wellness.
In her ventures, Michelle’s passion and mission have merged into the same road: she believes in lifting others up and driving meaningful experiences so that they can create more space within to invite more compassion, empathy and self-awareness.
